will a 2002 1000 gsxr swingarm fit on a 2002 gsxr 600 bike

i just ordered a 2002 1000 gsxr swingarm for my 2002 gsxr 600. i just start wondering if it will even fit ..does anyone no

Yes it will fit, you might need all the gixxer 1k stuff like wheel, brake, etc...

but isnt the wheel size the same for the 1000 and the 600 and i think the brakes will bolt right on....correct me if i am wrong

The 1k has a wider rim. You can use a 600 rim or 750 rim on a 1k swingarm as long as you use the spacers that go with the wheel. For example, you cannot use a 1k swingarm, 1k spacers, and a 600 rim. You would have to use the 1k swingarm, 600 wheel and 600 spacers.

I've used a 750 rim with all the 1000 stuff and it works but the swingarm just pulls in an extra half inch. Seemed to work fine though, didn't have any trouble with it.
