F4i idle problem

I picked the bike up a couple weeks ago and its runs fine when i start it and its on high idle. After high idle shuts off.. the bike runs like ****. Its almost like its down a cylinder. Any ideas why that might be happening. It ran the other day for while with no problems. Then all of a sudden started having this problem. After high idle is off it sounds like and runs like a moped

Possibly a vaccuum problem... make sure all of your hoses are good. Best thing you can do is get a set of gauges and hook them up. Easiest way to eliminate problems on a street bike. Also, do you have an idle cable hooked up directly to your middle throttle body?

i bought the bike cheap knowing that it ran when he parked it but it had sat for a while.. got the the bike to start. and it ran like new. then we shut it off and went back later to start it and it ran like ****.. and hasnt changed since. that kinda makes me think that an injector may be clogged possibly.. once it was started we didnt change anything... i was thinking that maybe there was some **** in the tank that we didnt know about..and it got in and clogged something

That's a definite possibility if it sat for a while. How long did it sit before you started it?

Oh jesus... yea, drain the gas before you do something like that. The bottom layer of gas was probably in ok shape but once the rest of the sediment made it's way into the system that's when your bike became no bueno. Change your injectors, flush everything out, run the highest octane you can and see what happens.

i put brand new gas in but i think its very possible that something was in the pump ir the bottom of the tank and made its way to the injectors.. im gonna change them and see how that helps
