Mount crack problem...

I was building a cage yesterday and got the right mount bolt out where slider was to put mounting point and when I put it back on it went in hard and the inner tip of the mount broke...when I got the bolt out I saw it was bent little bit (I guess from a crash) and that fu(ked it up...it's not a big piece but Im affraid it might be weaker now...the original bolt doesn't even go that far in (just little before the crack), and it's the same for slider bolt I had...

A guy that welds engine blocks and stuff like that profesionaly saw it and he said it shouldn't be a problem because there's plenty of it left, but I wanna hear what you got to say? I made a mounting point for a cage with a plate so it bolts on there but the point of impact above at the frame so there shouldn't be much stress at that point but...here's a pic...

Re: Mount crack problem...

make sure you put a spacer in to take up that gap and i would get a bolt that goes all the way through....but just not too long
