i cant seem to get my frame slider bolt out of my bike. it took a roll and broke of the plastic slider and bent the bolt back. was going to weld another bolt to the bent bolt that is stuck in to get it out. any other ideas?

Re: frame slider bolt

it happened to me twice, i cut the slider off with a grinder then the top of the bolt cause there was no way to bend it back then used vice grips to keep turning the bolt out. in the end i fucked up the threads on the engine and had to use a helicoil kit to rethread it good luck hope this helps

Yeah loosen the pinch bolts, should come out pretty easy. Sounds like you still got them tight!

Re: frame slider bolt

If you didn't loosen the pinch bolts, STOP !! It's like your front wheel axel has pinch bolts to hold it secure so does the motor mounts. Check it before you wreck it.

Re: frame slider bolt

It is directly benieth that frame slider bolt ( engine mount ) Facing downwards.Get down on your knees and tilt your head side ways I'll take a pic tomorow. Take ur faring off and look. If it's your gixxer that your talking about and you don't know what the pinch bolts are then you deff. didn't loosen them first and it aint coming out. And you didn't put them on either
