chopped stockers are definitely the way to go. make sure you put the gasket between the midpipe and muffler too... exhaust leaks will hurt.
More backpressure helps low end torque, at the cost of top end power. Less backpressure gives you more top end, which is why a lot of drag bikes don't run mufflers, it's all about the top end. slip ons are meant to give you more mid and top end.

ive got the stocker filter.
Gonna try to put the snorkles back on and go with the stocker can too...
Does it matter if its a shorty stocker?

mine bogs too.. only when accelerating from idle.. and after about 20 min. it shuts off an doesn't start... if i let it sit for a couple hours sometimes it starts right back up... an does the same thing again.. bog at low rpm an shuts off... ????? jus swapped in a motor thats been sitting for 3 years too... help!!!

and for me, i dont have the air ducts on. since it got super cold and cold air is more dense therefor causing the bike to run leaner, i taped off the right side of the airbox so there is only one side open. bike runs like a champ. i really do'nt think it would make too much of a difference, but it makes me feel better and i haven't had problems with it yet.
