I realize I'll probably have to make a custom bar, which is no prob really but... I was wondering who sells the shortest 12 bar for a 2003-2004 636? All i've seen people selling are ones that hang a fair deal off the back of the bike.. looking for one that is basically touching the tip of the tail

 

its easy, all u need is a angle grinder and a drill to fix a bar.

 

you mean just cut it down so it sits into the tail farther? I was thinking of it but are the bars made for the 636 preformed? I guess the angle of the bar touching the ground would be a bit off as well from shortening it?

 

flat or round bar? contact Ian at sickinnovations.com they make 3 different lengths of round bar for the 636, and i'm sure he could make you a flat bar to whatever length if that's what you're looking for...

 

well I was first thinking of a round bar but I'm not sure.. if I can find a flat bar that kinda meshes well with the tail I'd be happy.. I looked at the sick innovations site and their 12 bars seem to be narrow and then angle way outwards as well as being a bit too long... having one flush with the tail on a 636 would be more at 1 o'clock.

 

Couldnt find anyone that made one as short as I wanted so I made my own round bar for $20.....If you look close you can see it in this pic, its about 1" before the passenger seat...

 

nice, lot of people like to scrape close to the 636 subframe it seems.. good stuff... I'd love to have a round bar, but at the time a flat bar suits my interests a bit more.. I'll see if anyone in town will build one for me.. how do they mount anyways? do you just drill the subframe or what?

and can u still keep the stock tailight with that bar on ?
