HELP!!!!900rr stator wires

ok people I got a problem here. a long time ago the plug for my stator on my Honda CBR 900RR got dirty and built up resistance and melted so I matched the 3 wires to each other (all yellow ones) and soldered them and all was good,

now it's motor change time and the new stator has a plug but now I don't have the plug any longer on the harness cause of the previous incident.
all 3 of the wires are yellow coming from the stator into the plug and all 3 of the wires on my harness are yellow and they are the same shade of yellow and same size.

which yellow wire goes to which yellow wire? I'm thinking that all 3 are hot wires and it doesn't matter which one is connected each other. am I right?
any help would be really appreciated because I am finishing all the rest of my the little things I have to do and that is what's holdin me up from being one wheel up HELP ME HELP!!! HELP ME PLEASE I don't wanna fry something.

Re: HELP!!!!900rr stator wires

just check a wiring diagram, that'll make life super easy.. check online, do a search, or go to a honda shop, and just look through the catalogue, should be one of the last few pages..

Re: HELP!!!!900rr stator wires

i thought they all did the same thing too, but i have the same problem rightnow with my 98 900rr, and shops keep telling me that each wire has a different resistance to it or something. id grab a manual or wiring diagram and when you figure it out, let me know what ended up workin for ya;charging the batt every night blows monkeys

the best test is start the bike and touch ur tounge to each wire.

Re: HELP!!!!900rr stator wires

oh come on, its just 12 volt system, u touch ur toung to a 9 volt battery right? whats 3 more volts pfft nothing

make sure friend revs the bike while you do it

Re: HELP!!!!900rr stator wires

its a 12v dc system, the stator pushes around 120 v ac, like your wall outlet.... go ahead touch those to your toung. remember you can only use half of the "alternating current" (ac) on this type of system.

Look there is no difference, these yellow wires are all conected to the stator coil inside the motor, I don't have the finger strength to explain how and why it produces AC electricity. Its a three phase stator, unlike a half wave or two phase it just prduces three waves of electric current as oposed to say a half wave with only one wire. this has less peaks and valeys in the charging current suplying a more constant flow.

if you use a multimeter you can touch the end of one yellow and another one with the leads on your multimeter on ohms setting and yu will get some resistance through the coil but they are still conected. The only diode and resistors are in the regulator rectifier. just trying to help you out this is what I do for a living, now connect them and go ride!!

the diagram is going to show you three wires conected to a coil.... they are all the same.
....or sit contemplate it summore.

thanks idle hands and everybody else that responded. I connected all of them up at random like idle said and it worked perfect, charging nicely and running great, thanks.

Re: HELP!!!!900rr stator wires

It will work as I done it on my last f4 motor, well i converted an f4i stator to f4 cuz the plug was different. anyways it worked good for awhile but the motor started acting up so i swapped it but in the process noticed stator plug was burnt so im pretty sure that why that motor was acting up. All im saying is there may be a resistance difference so keep an eye on it.
