the new guy

i ride a 01 929cbr (that mite not matter)and when i try to slow down quikly usualy in 2nd gr thers a loud noise comn from the rear sprocket. could it be the chain is skipping teath. i just started riding and im thinkn that it may be my lack of experience.if its mechanical what do i do?if its me what is it that im doing wrong?

Check your chain slack, you should have about an inch of play with the bike sitting in neutral. Then check to make sure there are no broken or missing teeth on your rear sprocket. From there, it could be bad cush drive bushings or something....
