636 blowing main fuse, OUCH!

So my 03 636 blew a fuse at the worst possible time imageable Im rocking a seat stander down the road in 2nd at about 70km/h, I hop up into a frogger and BAM! The ***** blows a fuse and shuts off on me, next thing I know Im flying head first over the front....OUCH! this one hurt Didnt even see if comming and I was in a Tshirt, thankfully my helmet took most of it before I tucked and rolled out of it....

So my question is has anyone experienced this problem before? Its the 15amp fuse thats in a white clip under the seat. I changed it and it blew again, and Ive changed it twice now .....Checked all connections and everything looks good, cant seem to find a short or loose wire anywhere. The clip the fuse is in was loose so I Ziptied it in place but Im worried about it blowing again in a wheelie...Any ideas

Put a paper clip in that *****. I would rather have the wire harness melt and catch on fire than have my bike shut down on me like that again.

I was thinkin of doubling it up and putting a 20amp or even 30 in there, but Id really like to find out what the real problem is...This really sucked cause it was Friday night just hit the street and it was my first wheelie of the day, hottest weekend so far and I had to sit it out because of the rash. Worst part of it all was it wanst even my fault and the bike didnt even fall over(I fell off and it just rolled to a stop resting against the guard rail)! crashing because of mechanical faliure sucks! And my helmet got trashed...

I'm guesssing there is a wire that is rubbed raw somewhere. It hits a bump, shorts out, and blows the fuse.

YEP. That was my first thought and I had it happen before on a gixxer. A wire is exposed somewhere and when it touches metal from a bump for whatever, it blows the main fuse! take the plastics, seats, and tank off and go over the WHOLE bike, all the wiring and look for anything. Even a spot where a wire is rubbed through and only a TINY bit is exposed can do this! Good luck, hope you find it!
