problem with clutch cable

problem with clutch cable

Hey everyone.

my clutch cable keeps snapping when i try to clutch up on my old bike. im not at high revs and i have an upped sprocket on the rear, so i dont really understand what's causing it. anyone have any ideas?

too tight

is it old maybe the coating spliced and u need a new cable

no ****, you keep puting a NEW cable, and its breaking? if so check the cable routing and adjustment.

check adjuster on the lever perch, file down any sharp spots where that cable slides through.
or,
if the cable is breaking in a certain area each time, look there.
