installing APE cct

how do i do this, simply remove the old one and put the ape on, then adjust until the rattle noise goes away? or remove the cam cover to measure the chain slack?? info PLEAASE

You mean the "nokkenas-kettingspanner" ? (that's Dutch ) You can find some great instructions on the Internet on how to do it... But I was told, it was better to let the motorshop do it, cause you're valve timing could get f*cked up, and you don't want that to happen offcourse...

But that's you're coice offcourse...

u need a 5mm allen socket swivle and a 12" extension and ofcourse a rachet just remove the old one that hole is in the frame for you to slide the extension through to make it easier. then bolt on the new one then get it as tight as u can with ur fingers then give it another 1/4 turn with the socket that should do it

and if when its done the motor wont crank over or it has a whine noise it is too tight... i have done them on an f2, f3 and an f4

its in, and it works! i just screwed it in with my fingers until the rattling stopped. is that ok?
