636 overheating

thought i was having a problem with the fan so i hardwired it, but then shortly after the bike keeps overheating. I have filled the radiator up and it keeps boiling out, i also checked the seals on the radiator cap and it is good. Anyone had any similar problems and have any idea how to fix it? I was thinking the waterpump is bad but im not sure

Re: 636 overheating

start bike turn fan on put PLASTIC shopping bag in front of rad does it stick to rad if not wires are backwards and you are pumping the heat from you exhaust onto the rad. common mistake when hardwireing a fan. 2cent

Re: 636 overheating

next thing to check is the 2 lines that go to the cap if they are fliped when the bike heats up coolant will leak. and you will build no pressure and it will boil over
