How hard is it to install a clutch that is already put together and to take the old one out? Does anyone have a diagram or a site that can help me ? Thanks

Re: 2001 929 Clutch install

I Dont Know What You Mean By Already Put Together, If You Are Just Changeing Clutch Plates Then Drain The Oil, Take Off The Clutch Cover And Take Off The 5 Or 6 Bolts With Springs On Them In The Front And Take All Of The Plates Out And Put The New Ones In After Soaking Them With Oil, Just Make Sure To Check If The Outside Plates Are Different, Some Bikes Are, If You Can Take The Old Clutch Out In One Big Stack Like Playing Cards And Put The New Ones In The Same Way, Basically Its Just As Simple As Alternating Fiber Plates And Metal Plates. Let Me Know If You Need Any More Help

u don't gotta drop the oil and the new clutch should be soaked in oil for atleast 24 hours before installation.

What Do You Do Tilt The Bike On The Side? That Works If He Has Clean Oil But If The Clutch Is Wiped Out Chances Are Its Full Of Clutch Particles

if he really cares about clutch particles then sure change the oil, but taking off the clutch cover it will not dump oil out when its on the kick stand.

So how tight do I have to get the bolts with the springs on them... Also does it use a gasket or just silicone?
