Re: Blown motor - plz help

i put my bike back on the bar for alittle to long the carbs started to bog so it was smoke break time n i parked it then 10 minutes later i try'd starting it, turned over for a sec n CLUNK, i was like wtf? so i rolled it back words in gear a few feet n she fired n smoked for 15 minutes, is it just me but is it irresistible to not bounce the rev limiter when ur bike smokes?

That is exactly what happened. I have seen that happen on f4is. Spencer75South did that to his a while back. Same exact cylinder blew. He hydrolocked it, push started it which bent a rod and then 30 minutes later he had a nice hole in the block.

My F4i hydrolocked on me the day I got it.I hit the lot, fell and it locked itself up.I was lucky enough to understand what happened.I pulled the plugs out and tryed to bump the starter over a couple of times, then it finally let loose and sprayed oil 20 feet in the air.All good now though.
