Anyone know if a 03 600RR Engine will fit in an 05 600RR ?

I know the 03 aqnd 04 swap out fine without any changes to the wiring harness or CDI, I have an 04 motor in my 03..........BUT Honda made quite a few changes to the RR for 05, you might wanna call and check the part numbers for an 04 and an 05 wiring harness, CDI, fuel pump, throttle bodies and so on.........if everything wires up the same you should be good to go.......

.....fair warning though, my boys 2000 gixxer 750 looks almost identical to a 2002 gixxer 750, but they made changes to the fuel pump, motor, wiring harness, CDI and throttle bodies..........he had to buy everything after buying the motor.......another $800-1000 he didn't count on, so check and see if thats gonna be the case with you......and if so, you can send me the 03 motor to take care of if you can't use it....LOL

 

Thanks for the info, the Engine has all those components with it, so it should be cool do you think ?

 

as long as all the electrial connections and everything are there...go for it.....you might check to see if the numbers are different anyways though....a small change and little stuff like the wiring to the radiator fan might screw somin up..........

.......another for instance though..........if swapping an F4i motor into an F4, you have to swap the fan or reverse the wires or it will turn the wrong way make the motor hotter and overheat
