I am looking at a cbr600 but it has no title, its at a dealer, its not stolen or anything, they dont have a title for it, it was dumped. I was wondering if it would be possible to find a wrecked bike with a broken frame, but somehow had a clear title, and jsut register it as the wrecked frame sense it had a clear title? Or anyone in NY know how hard it is, and how long it takes to get a title for a bike without one? Once i find out the status of the frame like it is salvaged ect, i guess i would know if the bike is worth it, this bike is like $1200 and its ok condition, but seems to be the only bike i can find for a good price, i really want a cbr600 f2 or f3 or even a gsxr600-750 94+, and all i find are these shitty bikes...

sounds like more of a pain than its worth. about 2k will get you a legit bike

 

yeah i know, i am thinking maybe just try to get a lagit bike, i found a few bikes i really liked on stunt trader, but no one ever replies (know its closed no but i have been trying to e-mail ect them for ever) and even in the for sale section, but not many peope respond to my e-mails...

u can buy a frame without a title but it is a pain in the ***, i work at a dealer. U need 2 run the bike threw autotheft at the dmv, thats how it works around here but in the end ur gonna get a salvage title. U can get it restamped tho but like i said its a long process.

 

yeah i think i wam going to steer clear of that, i really want a cheaper beater bike just to comute on, so i dont want to have to deal with the title bullshit...
