A buddy just picked this bike up. He wants to go full fairings. He's a newb so I tried to convince him to take the upper, headlight and sides off a street-fighter it since he'll be crashing ALOT.

He is fixed on having FF and this thing looks hideous as it sits. Any ideas? It has a 00-03 GSXR headlight on it and no upper.

Can a F3 fairing be cut to fit that headlight?
Mount up a 00-03 GSXR upper and zip tie it on (that will still leave a gap at the sides.)
or just buy the F3 upper and headlight and be done with it?

The guy is on a budget too...I still say street-fighter it personally.

Whats the conditon of the GSXR headlight? If its good sell it to fund the right parts...

Its an F3 its going to be ugly no matter what you do to it

 

1. Sean...He's a DNF street rider guy. He's looking to get into stuntin' and this was the cheapest possably way to find out if he'll like it.

2. Headlight is mint. Selling it is a good idea.

3. Yes, the F3 will always be ugly. Like I said I told him to grab the acerbis off of Rabo and go naked, but he's stuck on FF.

 

He'll probably change his mind once he destroys an upper and headlight........Ive collected 3 for this season after those are done I think Im goin fighter.

Oh damn i was so close to buying that bike ! Looks like he got to it before i could!

Street fighter front end ! Why put the work into making the front end work when he will smash it up after a few falls.

 

Actually I don't know about that. We were supposed to pick it up today and the guy hasn't answered the phone since Tuesday.
