Sitting on the windscreen?

stopping i can't help you with but getting back on can be a challenge if you are to close to the handlebars. besure to slide back first so your leg doesn't get caught between the bar and the tank, that can be disasterous.....

What I do is push my butt back to where it is on the gas cap to give me room to get my feet around the bars and my folded back mirrors. When I swing both legs around I let go of the controlls for a sec. put one hand on the tank and push myself onto the seat. One thing I have learned is never grab your throttle grip first, more than once I have done this and rolled on the throttle without thinking. Makes for a nasty ride. It takes some getting use to and is sketchy at lower speeds.
I know I may sound like a dork. But I practiced getting up on the tank and back off with my bike on a rear stand. I felt a little silly doing that but I would have felt a lot worse sliding down the road because I hit the front brake lever or kill switch with my leg. There's definitly some things that can go wrong if you're trying it for the first time. Best find out at 0 Mph instead of 60.
i used to just put both my palms on the tank spread my legs and slide onto the seat in one quick motion. till one day i was running out of road and had to get back on the seat real quick and was being careless and my right foot hit the throtle. not fun. i had no hands on the bars and was already kinda leaning back when my foot caused the bike to wheelie and bucked me off. now i do one leg at a time and make sure i dont accidently give it gas while doin it.
so dont do what i did.
so dont do what i did.
