Kawi guy, i have a 00 with a -1 front and before that was on i could power up at like 5k. Its all about body position and such. But i still wouldnt recommend powering them up. Cluthing is the only way. For second gear bring her to about 30-40 mph and grab a handful of throttle and 1-finger slip the clutch and it should come right to BP, on a standup that is. I hate sitdowns so idk about that.

Gixxer guy. I think most guys gear the hell out of their bikes and ride the slow stuff in 2nd gear. !st gear would have way too much braking and would be too touchy. You should especially be able to bring it up in 3rd as well. I wish i was in florida to ride!!!
only ppl who do slow in 2nd usually is up 18+ teeth, otherwise it's 1st gear... and yes, once learned how to clutch, 3rd will come up fine

what's the idea of gearing if you use second? Use the first. walking pace and clutch it up.

and get a cage, cheaper then engine damage.

it's not going to be a different speed just because of the type of bike. honda's are more durable, that's about it. little recommendation. learn to ride BP in 1st 2nd and 3rd with stock gears before you change the gearing. adding teeth will not make you a wheelie pro, practice will. the bike's a lot easier to control with stock gearing and it less twitchy
