No problems, haven't really let the bike hit real hard on the tank, the stickers i have on the tank are from minor scratches, but i man handle it to keep it from getting bashed in, i would think it would run alittle shitty ridding with the choke, just crank the idle, i made a custom holder for my idle screw so its right under the seat for easy adj.

Oh yea, so 98-99 fairings will bolt onto a 96-97 900RR right? do they sit funny tho on the bike? Ive seen a few older RRs (dont remember exactally what years) and they had the whole 98-99 fairings put on but it looked like the upper sat forward too far or sumthing

Yea as far as I kno they didnt change the actual shape of the frame, they only made it stiffer. Here a link I found that shows some of the changes from 97 to the 98 model

i rock a leopard furred 98 900 and that bike is so fukn sweet! its geared -2+12. its awesome for slow wheelies and stil pulls 4th on the interstate at 70. ive learned so much ln that bike in only3 months, like police don't like stickers that say 'cops suck' ill get pics up as soon after thanksgiving weekend as possible

i use to have green/purple leopard print fur on my bike when i bought it 2 years ago, then it got all ragged and i tore it off and repainted it, ihad long fur on my old ZX9 4 years ago, it was hard to keep clean

should be pretty decent, better than stock, so try it for a bit, then go more teeth in the rear.
