Today I plan to go practice learning a standup. Hopefully no cops will roll up on me, because its not tagged, insured, registered, ect. But I have no parkings lots really, just a backroad near my house.

My question is does anyone have any tips really? Im riding my f4i today. I wanna try to accomplish at least one decent standup in the time alotted for practicing.

First tip- FU(K THOSE PIGS!!!!!!!! If they roll on you, hit some offroad....f4is handle it quite well trust me. hahaha
Second Tip! Focus on smooth throttle. No jerkiness.... AND! practice using the brake to set it down, and repeat like, 124214535465432643 times to program it into your head that the brake will set a wheelie down. That, and when you first start, staggered should prolly feel wierd... just ride around like that for awhile, and it will feel better.....

Actually the road I use, has a clear field i could shoot across, which leads to another backroad whcih shoots straight to the highway, so good thinking...

By the way thanks for the tips...Hopefully I can get some time in on the bike today...All depends on if that backroad is busy, sometimes it is, sometimes it aint....

Should i go first gear or 2nd gear today?

 

first gear to learn..... its gonna be harder, because it will be more twitchy, but, unfortunately, in this sport, the hard way generally is the best way to learn......
Also, you will be going slower, just incase unless you fall down........
