will a 954 motor fit into a 929 frame... with out any issues... my ***** bout to blow up so im lookin into another motor.. but would like to put the 954 motor into my bike. thanx

 

yep with no problems, i got a 929 frame with a 954 motor still using the 929 wiring harness so i had to use the 929 throttle bodies and if you use a 954 radiator with the 929 harness the fan runs all the time

 

I Disagree. I Used The Wiring, Ecm, And Throttle Bodies Off My 929 With A 954 Motor And It Blew Up In 2 Wks. The Motor Will Definately Fit, But I Would Use The Electrical And F.i. Systems With The Appropriate Motor Because Of The Difference In Ignition Timing, And To Avoid Rich/lean Issues Due To The Size Of The Throttle Bodies.

same here-i used the 954 electronics/airbox-it fits, with some work (airbox wont fit under tank, have to raise front 1/2", need to use all 54 electronics incl. speedo, and handlebar controls, etc)

you can also put a 929 motor in a 954 frame-Mike

 

Just use the throttle bodies, ecu, wiring, etc. from the bike that you are putting the motor in. Keith's is the 5th one I've seen and none have had any problems.
