74 teeth...?
I have recently come into possesion of a 74 tooth Vortex sprocket for my '94 900RR... As i looked at it i could just picture the beautiful aluminum pizza pan being encased by my back wheel
...
But just the other day i mentioned it to a guy that has a '99 900RR and he mentioned that with sprockets that big that there is a clearance issue with the swingarm
... Is there such a problem for my bike? He also mentioned that the chain might not go through the swingarm support like it does now...
I'm sure someone must have run into this or something similar. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Do you need a sprocket that big? I heard guys with big sprockets are compensating for other things. haha! I'm kidding. But seriously, 74T is huge! Your top speed will be like 40 mph (that's a guess). I say return it and go with a -1/+10 or +15. I have -1/+10 and love it. The bike is still streetable and yet comes up easy. Ask around what others recommend. Also, if this is your first time gearing the bike, I would take a much smaller increment.
Re: 74 teeth...?
Yea, I've got a -1, +18 and I wish I had gone +10 instead.... for where I'm at, it's just unnecessary gearing.. So unless you're 'super pro circles all the time dude'.. I'd go for a few less teeth.
