help with 00 gsxr 750 please.

Bought this as a project bike for my little bro. Front end was missing when I bought it and its definately a fixer upper.

#1- Do I need to jump some wires on the gauge harness to get the bike to start without the gauges? Its gonna be a streetfighter for a while. Battery is charged but the engine wont turn over. The main relay behind the battery just makes a clicking noise.

#2 Will a set of 04 gixxer 600 forks fit the 00 750 upper tripple clamp (same diameter?)?

#3- I found what looks like a tip over sensor(not sure if thats what it is or not, but thats what it looks like to me). How can I bypass this?

Thanks guys!

There is a wire that has to be pluged into the clutch, its a small clip, its located on the bottom side of the clutch perch. If that wire is not pluged in the bike will not start. When you turn the key you will here the fuel pump kick over but when you try to start the bike it will not start. Its the censor, so the bike knows the clutch is pulled in. You don't need gauges to start it but i would recommend putting them on there if the fan does not come on and the bike over heats. If you are interested I have a set of gauges off a 2001 gsxr 750.

If the starter relay is clicking everything is ok and your just not getting enough juice from the battery or the motor is locked up. Any problems in the system and the relay will not even click!

Should not have to do anything to run without the guage.

Cant tell you about the upper clamp unless you can measure the dia of the top fork clamp and the offset fromt the steam. If you tell me those 2 measurements I can tell you if it'll fit or not. I put 04 forks on my friends 600 but we got both tripples with the forks, the top clamp looks eactly like a 750 though jut not 100% sure without measuring.

Check the junction box ive had this proplem before , if you can hear the starter relay click and its not turning over then obviously it has power. Try to bumb start it , i had that prop and it was my junction (fuse box) was bad.

Hey Bro,
Tip over sensor is located right in front of the cross brace at your frames rear(in front of the battery tray) about a 2 inch square box, two wires, one connector(gray I think). Take it apart, center pieces, and fill with silicone. You CAN'T jump the wires to bypass it. Hope this helps.
