Re: 03' 636 Motor Noise

mine tics. its gonna happen. Got an APE tensioner in there, and i run motul 10-40. Still tics..just need to tighten up the ole tensioner a bit..but the motul helps a little. for oil in the airbox, just get a longer hose to go between the airbox and case breather..that way the hose will loop, and therefore hold more oil before it hits the airbox.

Re: 03' 636 Motor Noise

Being one of the top stunt bikes there has to be a known solution that works.......Cbo was rockin bar tricks on his in Street Sessions, anyone know what he did or did he just deal with it or what? Bar tricks are pimp (to an extent) not really wantin to get another bike, I'm loving the 6dirty6 :YEAH

Few solutions Ive heard of
*PCV valve in crankcase line
*Extend the hose to run to the front of motor and then into the air box
*Pinchin that line completely off and drillin and tappin a breather on the top of the valve cover (which I really dont wanna do)

I agree there should be a sticky on this thread.....

Re: 03' 636 Motor Noise

i did have some doubts about the 636 at first, but i'm so glad that i got it instead of the f4i, cause i'd say theres about 1/8th as many stunters on 636's as f4i's, and i don't like to be too much on the bandwagon. as far as the pcv valves, i've heard they build up pressure in your motor, so i'd prolly try the long hose... either way, mine's minty, and i don't do bar tricks.
