we are getting ready to ride and my buddies oil light is on and the oil is not flowing in the lil sight window so i checked it with a tester and nothing but when i disconect it the oil light goes out but the oil still not flowing help

 

sounds like ya lost the oil pump drive/oil pump itself. have a shop test the oil pressure before tear down

 

or a possible air lock.try to loosen the oil filter and then crank it.when oil starts seeping out tighten back down.make sure you are using a kawi oil filter.

 

thanks for the reply it got late so we said **ck it till the next morning when he got to my house he started it up jus to c if it would work and it did told him to go to the shop and check it but hes hard headed said it would b ok thanks for trying to help ill prob be on here looking for a new motor for him soon if he allows it to starve for oil to many more times thanks

 

wow, sucks your friend is like that. I would fix it. I may have one lyin around. I'll check my kawi parts in the garage.
