929 problems........need help

first problem........my battery wont hold charge for sheeeet....i jump it with my 1000 and and after even 10 min if i take jumper cables off the odometer blinks on and off and then dies after a minute(and the battery is not old it should have been good to start with)

second problem........whenever i brake my brake light fuse pops.........there is no short where the actual taillight is(i checked thoroughly).....and sometimes it will work but if i start the bike and hit the brakes b/f the fuel pump goes on it pops 100% of the time.(those little fuses are friiigin expensive...3.50 for a pack of 5)

i am wondering if both problems are related.......

If its not holding a charge you got either a bad stator or rectifier/regulator. Same **** happened to my 929 and it was hell. Also check your connection between the stator and rectifier--

For the taillight I had the same problem too--your grounding out somewhere--check all the wiring and also check INSIDE the taillight--the garbage 929 bulbs always come loose--I put led's in mine. Good luck.
