just got a 2002 f4i..i need info on stunt setup
ok, i just got a 2002 f4i that was crashed..it has bent fork tubes, so i need to know all the details involved with swapping out for 929 or 954 forks..
i'm going to run the dirtbar setup...
also would like opinions on what cage and bar works good on this bike.
last but not least, the tip over sensor is missing......anyone know how to bypass it??
thanks for the help in advance, and if you got a link to a thread that would help. i'd take that too.....

tip over sensor you have to jump the red and green wires (the two outside wires on the harness) Just tie them together before the gray harness.

Re: just got a 2002 f4i..i need info on stunt setup
I found that the underside of the 929 needed a washer to space the top triple from the frame neck - seemed to work great after that - I just couldn't fully tighten the top triple down beforehand. I also kept the F4i front wheel by reversing the axle, and making up a bushing to fit the small end of the axle to large fork hole - that worked great, too. Used risers and universal clamps and a pair of Pro tapers, no extended lines needed, and ended up with this

-2 +10, mxd cage is the best for f4i, i just used a j-beats bar, still stock f4i front end for now, drilled triple with clamps, bars. just ordered the upper triple from full throttle for dirtbar setup.

Re: just got a 2002 f4i..i need info on stunt setup
you gotta use 929 rotors, as the mounting points of the calipers will be too high up the 929 forks, and therefore miss the f4i rotors - the calipers from the F4i will work fine, however

Parts list is as follows:
1) 929 forks
2) 929 upper and lower triples
3) 929 front fender (forgot that one, didn't ya?)
4) 929 rotors
5) packing washer for the underside of the upper triple (in my case, anyway)
6)if you're using the F4i wheel, you need to mill up a packing bushing for the axle. (use the F4i axle backwards)
see link for similar packing bushing
