My next bike, 600RR, is going to be me making payments to my parents who are buying it in cash from their savings.... So interest free and if I encounter a roguh strech they'll be able to lower the payments

And remember, **** happens, and it's ONLY A BIKE! If your new bike getting scratched is the end of the world for you, you shouldn't have that new bike! Everything is fixable (excpet a bent/totaled bike, but that is what insurance is for!!!)
Re: Brake Lever Bent
dude, you can't bend levers back, you have to hammer them back, 'cos they're cast
get a nice flat surface, and a hevy rubber mallet, and tap it back into shape - it'll work fine, and won't snap
Of course, by the time you've paid for a rubber mallet................

You might not crash or wahtever, but sometime, in a parkinglot, in the driveway, ON OIL, wherever, its going to get dropped and you are going to break stuff on it! Its a learning process when you get your first bike, and while learing anything, you break things! So get a beater, get your mistakes and layovers out of the way, LEARN what NOT to do for the furture, then get your nice bike!
