wrong, sorry but that's not accurate for welding. if the weld cracks it's because it was a sub-par weld, if the metal cracks around it it's normal.

I have the same issue on my 00 750, cracked on both sides up towards the front of the tank where it bends to go up toward the steering head. There's a weld on the inside of the bend and it cracked on that and has worked it's way up and around the top and is now working down the side of the frame, not good. I'm gonna get it welded in a couple days.

.. maybe you should just buy that rolling frame the dude from flints selling and throw your engine in it say **** the cracks.
