will a 2002 gsxr 1000 motor fit in a 2003 frame?

you could get any motor to fit into any frame, wether they would respond well and compliment each other together or wether there is any point in doin it is another thing. But with the right modifications there is always hope.... always...... you just gotta be ready to put up the dosh to modify the frame and get the mountings right. but i think you mean will it just bolt in (is it a straight swap)???? im not sure sorry you would probably have to call suzuki mechanic and ask.....

It will work, just have to use all the wiring and stuff from the older motor.

nope, I'm pretty sure it's not going to fit without a lot of fabrication. The gix changed a lot from 02 to 03, including the frame

Good stuff kyle! The answer is... (AND I AM POSITIVE) YES, it will bolt directly in, you have to use the FI and harness from the same year as the motor!

I wish people would know what they were talking about before posting up!!! Unless you are sure, don't post! some people said "nope" and that is wrong, now what if this guy missed a good deal on one or sold one REALLY cheap cause you told him it wouldn't fit! Try to only post info you know is correct!!! Thanks!

 

If a 02 motor would fit we just spent about $800 more than what we had to. but its cool tho thanks for all the help

 

exactly what i was talkin about, he had to spend $800 more because someone gave him BS info! that sucks! sorry to hear it bro!

hit me with a PM for any other Suzuki questions cause i've been on them for the last 4 years and know them pretty well!!!

oh and next time wait a LITTLE longer before spending the extra $$$ cause usually the right info will surface on here!!!
