ICS dampener weak. any help?
Ok, so I just bought an ICS steering dampener on eBay for my F4i. I recieve it, and it feels really week. Like when I turn the **** to full, I don't feel any difference from when it's on the weakest setting. Anyone ever worked w/ these dampeners, and can you just change the oil out or something? and how? Mines didn't come w/ instructions or anything either. I really would rather fix it than return it tho.. 'Cuz the seller said it was brand new, and it looks to be, it just seems week. thanks for the help

Ok, so I just tested out my friend's GPR on his 600rr.. And on the 4th setting of his bike, is still stronger than the strongest setting on mine.. Anyone know how I can change the oil and where I can find the oil for it? or whatever else it could be?

I have an ICS damper on my 954. I really like it. I would look into changing the oil. Before I bought my bike, the guy had the ICS rebuilt and has worked great ever since. Take it to your local mechanic and they should be able to do it. By the way, I usually always ride with it one turn away from full hard. Might just be the way they are.

my local shops don't service dampers.. lol.. oh well, It seems similar to the Scott's damper, so I'll follow the how to on the Scott's page, and just change the oil myself... Prolly try to go for a higher weight... We'll see how that goes
