R6 electrical problem

This is the wierdest problem I have ever had. One hot *** 100 deg day I was going through traffic and I noticed my gauges and tach lost power, I thought this was wierd so i pulled over to inspect, couldn't see anything wrong with connections or anything like that, but when I went to go start the bike again the battery was dead. Let it sit for about a half hour then popped the clutch to start it again. Ran it for about twenty minutes and everything seemed fine, then the gauges went out again. I was in fifth gear and then it started to bog then killed on me while going 60+. Popped the clutch to start it again then drove it home. Came out the next morning to see if it would start again. And it did started rite up. Rode it for an hour then it killed again. What the f**k is wrong with my bike.

Is it the battery?
Do I have a short?
Is it the stator?

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: R6 electrical problem

Look at your voltag regulator/rectifier, one plug is probably fried. Just replace the plug and you should be fine. happens a lot on the older R6's. Heres a link http://www.r6messagenet.com/forums/s...ight=rectifier
