f3 carb problem

hey guys i just got my f3 running, and the carbs is spilling gas out of the top air vents that hook to the solenoid for the ram air. does this sound like maybe the floats are hung up?? the bike seems to run ok, just when i rev it up gas blows out the line.

Re: f3 carb problem

Send a pm to Novaman. His bike did the same thing, we took the carbs apart, cleaned them, put them back together...and it still did it. We took just the carbs down to the honda shop, the guy said he just swaped a float from each side and it seemed to fix it. Ask nova though, b/c im not completely sure what the shop guy did. (it was free though, he did it on his lunchbreak)

threads like this make me miss my old ghetto ****. times were good.

keep runnin it. sometimes the floats dont seal and you can have that.

its not that they hang up its that you get goo in the needle seats and gas just freeflows... make sure your tank breather is breathing. i had a bike with a plugged breather and when it got hot, the pressure swelled a cup of gas into the cylinders.

yeah i found out that it is the #2 cylinder i took the airbox off and gas is coming out of the air holes in the face of the carb. i guess i'll take the bowl off and clean the needle and seat for the float.
