[QUOTE=p1000]even when i try feathering the brake i stay for a bit then i just slow down too much :shrugg

I'm at the same level as you now. I'm thinking you just have to practice more. And that one wheelie you pull up it will just happen. That is how I seem to learn everything since the the first slo wheelie I'v tried. Give it a week and I'm sure you'll have it.

The only way you can slo it down too much while the throttle is closed is if it's back too far. Your going to have to feather the break juuuust barely when it's in the sweet spot - prob just a little more forward.

I know it's frusterating - I just got done practicing for 2 hours strait (staggard). Higher idle is easier bout 4,000 but the only reason you roll it farther is cuz your going faster. By my last 20 min run I turned the idle under 3,500 rolled a few good ones then my gas light came on and that was it.

Give it a week and just keep playing w/ the break - I figure I'll be consistant by the weekend. Let me know how there rolling.

Re: no throtle

when u guys talk about your idle, is it the idle speed with clutch pulled in or the idle the bike rolls at.

eg, i run my idle at 4000 but if im in first gear just rolling my idle is at like 2800

when u guys are quoting your idle what do u mean ??

im having same problems im -1+10 on my f4i i can rock idle for about 10 - 15 feet and then i either go to far back and stall or i start coming down and have to throttle back up, practise practise makes perfect... i think i might try idle down alittle like 3500.......

Wow! That's a big difference! From 4000-2800? For me it's always about 500 less - 4000 in N =3500 in gear ect. It could be the bike though 600 750 1000 and your gearing could make that difference. I dunno. Just practice and mess w/ different idles sh*t will just happen eventually.
