Hey guys... im new to the forum. I just got a 2005 r6 about a month ago and im on a quest to get the standups down... I can ride first gear no problem but second is a little more difficult... my buddy has an 05 gsxr 600 and he can power up in second... i cant seem to get the wheel high enough with just powering it up in second... i have been trying to clutch it at 45mph but its kinda snappy so i cant really keep the wheel up for very long... Is there any WA state riders that would like to meet up and give me a hand?

 

Don't fret. That bike has more than enough power to get it up in second, clutch or pow-pow-powwwa woolies.

Its all about confidence. Try and try while always covering your rear brake and you will be fine. Gear up and have fun.

There are a lot of threads here that can help also. Do some searching and you will find what you need.
