Fuel Problem with my CBR600 F2 :( Plz someone help me :)

Hi there,

I bought a cbr600 F2 from '92 and when I do Balance point wheelies, or further, the engine doens't get enough fuel... And then 1 cylinder falls away and the engine runs on the other 3 cylinders...

That makes it impossible for me to do good slow wheelies

I don't have this problem when my dented tank (about 10 Liters) is full with gas... When it's totally full, i don't have this problem... But when there is only 9 Liter left, the problem appears

Do all the F2's and F3's have this problem ? E-dub from team OM, how do you do it ? Or don't you have this problem ?? Cause he rides a F3 right ?

Is there anyone who can help me ? Cause some people say I need other carburators, or a fuel pomp, but I don't know if that's going to help...

I hope someone can help me,

greetings, a desperate Dutch wannabe stunter

Sounds like your floats might be off or something... I'm pretty sure you can set the floats to give it more fuel, yours might just be set really low, therefore not enough fuel when vertical. 12's will always be a bit of a problem with carbs, but as long as they're set right B.P. wheelies should be cake.

You gotta keep your tank full all the way. Or get an inline fuel pump off an F3, then you'll only need to keep your tank 2/3 full.

yea, just keep the tank full, when the bikes vertical the gas level has to be above the carbs to keep gas flowing to it.

i have a 97' f3, but my engine doesn't shut off or sputter untill i set it back down, then(if its past the BP for a while) it almost always shuts off. is there anyway to relocate the fuel delivery. i would think if an extra line was directed toward the seat it would suck up more fuel. any other ideas?

I never found it to be a hinderance except for bar tricks.

stunten dan tanken dan stunten en dan tanken

maar hij heeft een F3 dus kan je net wat langer doorrijden

I ride Cb600 Hornet and I've got this same problem. I don't want to play with carburators, so I'll try modify it this way, if it work I'll tell
I've got problem with oil lubrication too. Do I have to modify sump or I should only put more oil to engine?

Run a little extra oil, 1/4 to 1/2 a liter. You can also turn your oil pickup around which will move the opening about 2 cm to the rear.

F2's dont have a fuel pump on them. F3's have a little fuel pump which isnt the best but it helps. On my F3 I just try and keep the tank full to the top. It runs just fine. I havent had any problems. On the F2's we tried putting a inline fuel filter which helped a little. Ive also heard that you can poke a hole in your gas tank and it will run like a champ. Just like when your pouring gas. If you pour it out of the container with the breath valve closed the gas comes out slow. Throw some air in that sucka and it shoots out. I havent tried that one yet though.

I would try and get a F3 fuel pump and rig it up. You should be good to go with just that

Re: Fuel Problem with my CBR600 F2 :( Plz someone help me :)

anyone ??

By the way, today I transformed the tube from my fuell tap (the tube that goes into your tank and is for the "normal" gas stand, not the reserve). I bented the tube 90 degrees, so when i do a high wheelie, the tube of the fuell tap points down and can still suck up gas out of the tank.

Maybe this will help also ???

you can drill a small hole in the tank and secure a check valve in the hole. the check valve will make it so air can go into the tank but nathing can come out. ive put a little thought into this and i think this is what im going to do on my 97 f3.

How can you make check valve ? And what is that exactly ? Sounds nice, but when I don't know what or how, I can't try it

Can anyone explain me this ?

check valves are used on fish tanks. and cars. if you go to a place that sells supplys for aquariums and such theyll have them there.
