circles on stock gears
circles on stock gears
I love my stock gears but I think I'm gonna have to gear down to get these damn things. im not coordinated enough to dip the clutch while im doing it. Do you have to slip the clutch when doing circles?
Re: circles on stock gears
doing them, yes its ok, i rock them on a stock gix1000
learning them, no, it will be too hard to learn them good with stock gears
granted you are on a 600, so that will make it easier and doable, but it will be even EASIER with some gearing.
yes, learn to use the clutch, BUT only when you need it, like when you feel like you are about to highside or the motor is going to stall, just pull it in a tiny bit to let the clutch slip a little bit!
key to getting circles is PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! good luck

whats a good gearing to learn them?

yeah, you got the idea, the taller the gearing, the faster and more leaned the O's have to be, therefore making them more prone to highside or if you slow them down more prone to stalling, so its harder, especially to learn!
obviously you have seen the vid, so i can use examples from it, HAHA, you see how most of my circles are normal speed, then towards the end of the vid im circling a silver 1000 that is stock, and you can see its a little faster, but that is because im slipping the **** out of the clutch! and the idle is only at 2,000 where with gearing my idle is at 4000 (on the 600).
Bottom line is that yes O's are doable with stock gearing, but to learn them i would use some gear to make it easier!
