929 help

I just got a 2001 929 i can get it to stand up like it should. I try to clutch up and it just wont do it. I could bring my r6 up easy. I dont know what could be wrong. The only way i can get it to wheelie is in second gear at 40 mph bouncing and clutching at the same time with a little pull on the handle bars.

Re: 929 help

Let me get this right, you can only get your 2001 929 to wheelie in 2nd. Not first?

Re: 929 help

I think you just need to get used to the bike, we all know the bike is very capable of doing wheelies in 1st and 2nd, even 3rd. Good Luck

Re: 929 help

I've bounced my 954 with 25% power loss here in 2nd gear stock no clutch, you should be able to power wheelie that 929 up with no bounce.

Re: 929 help

when i 1st learned wheelies, my (true)stunter friend just said "twist the throttle all the way, and just blip the clutch" so, i guess if you don't loop it, it'll come up

Re: 929 help

i got it my second day on the bike. I was just rusty. The balance point is unreal compared to my r6. I just clutch it and give a little tug and its there. I love that bike.
