overheating or thermostat??

overheating or thermostat??

alright this is bugging me....my bike with heat up untill the fan kicks on just ideling...theres no collant in the resivor but my rad is filled to the top....so it cant be over heating....could be be my thermostat?? someone please help

1. lots of bikes will do this, its already HOT if the fan kicks on thats the whole reason the fan kicks on duh

2. put some coolant in the bottle like there should be and your problem will prob. go away to an extent

3. it is overheating because you dont have ENOUGH coolant in the system. read above,its not the thermostat or cap , if putting coolant in the resy doesnt help then i would go after the cap then the thermostat

the rad is full so its not going anywhere....maybe its not even getting circulated through.....but then i asked my buddy at a light what his was running and his was like 10-15 above mine.....i dont get it sometimes
