I have a 02 gsxr 600 that wont stay charged. i can i find out if its the stator. or could it be something else? when i bought it it wouldnt turn over so i brought it home and jump started it. it didnt last but maybe 5 minutes. so i checked the battery and all of the cells were bone dry. i bought acid for the battery and charged it over night it ran for about 2 hours today then the gages turned off then the bike shut down.

 

That had just happened to my bike last week..i just changed the rectifier on mine..its bolted on the right side under the tail of the subframe..i replaced that with a new one and it stays all charged up now..it could be your stator too..hope that helps
