Tip over sensor bypass problem(929)

So i try to bypass my tip over sensor before i go ride tonight. And i put a paper clip in the one a three slot like i heard to do and when i tested it out the sensor was bypassed just fine but the bike ran really weired for a few min like it was on running on 3 cyclinders and then shut it off and tryed to start it again and now it hardlt starts and makes almost like a thumping sound. then you have to feed it alot of gas to keep it running.... what do you guys think????

Re: Tip over sensor bypass problem(929)

i dunno. now the **** wont even start it just turns over if i hold the throttle wide open a little white smoke comes out and that about it... Hows could i have blown my motor it ran fine before and it only ran for maybe 1 min max. Like i said did the tip sensor mod started it with the tank still proped up ran fine. Put the tank back down bolted it in to place took it off the rear stand... went to start it and it started sounded like it was running on only 2-3 cyclenders i reved it a few times no change shut it off. tryed to start it again and it only started for a few seconds a couple of times the to get it to run i had to hold the throttle wide open. so i stoped took the tank back off un did the tip sonsor mod put the stock conector back together put the tank back on same problem the eventually the battery went dead so i jumped it and let it charge a little bit now the starter just goes and goes maybe you hear the motor go for second and thats about it.... any ideas i need help seriously!!!!!

Re: Tip over sensor bypass problem(929)

your fuel pump turning on (priming) ? was a hose pinched during the tank was up? sounds like a fuel problem. thump and a knock are pretty different. i don't think it has anything to do with the tip sensor. please tell me u taped off the paper clip? cause if u don't it grounds out and your gonna have to reground it now and it will run but wires may catch fire. my friends 945 is acting all shady lately too and i think its cause he didn't tape off the paper clip. so while ur trying to start it it grounds out and starts for a secound but then the vibration knocks it off n what not... etc. i could type a huge list of diagnos proceedures but yeah talk to me on aim.
