Getting ur rear loose on rolling burnouts?

K I got rolling burnouts and circle burnouts down now. But i always start the rear spinning standing still and then let off to get it rolling. How do you break it loose while the bike is moving? I've tried just getting way forward on the tank, holding a little brake and snapping the clutch but usually the front lifts and locks or the rear doesn't spin. Any help??

Lean forward, drag the front brake, give it gas and let the clutch in and out till it starts spinning, if its coming up then you arnt far enough forward, u should be hangin over the front of the bike. You will save alot of tire too, it shouldn't leave heavy black marks if you are way forward. Joe

trick to learning it is to come in at maybe 10-15 pull in the clutch and set how much gas you need to give it and pull on your front brake to slow you down and compress the front to make the rear lighter. lean forward at the same time
and pop your clutch. dont give it to much gas at first cause it might bite and the front might come up. start small, just alittle gas can brake the rear tire losse, there are manyways of learning this is just one of them. i have also seen guys brake the rear losse with out useing the clutch. good luck and take your time

i start by riding about 20 MPH start squeezing brake pull in the clutch give it gas and slip the clutch out giving more gas till it brakes loose... probably not the best for the clutch ware situation but thats how i do em.

I dont know about you guys but i found the easiest way for me when learning was without the clutch. Roll about 10 or so, lean over the front of the bike as far as you can and then grab the front brake and open the throttle. I dont see the need for the clutch and when i tried i just ended up getting bogged down on the gixxer anyway. Just my though

dont learn on a race rear tire if you can help it i learned on a pirelli take off then switched to a 207 and it was like night and day way easier. once any tire gets hot it will spin forever though

Weight transfer my friend, get more weight to the front, which will lighten up the rear and make it easy to slip the clutch for a second and get it spinnin!

i dont even use my clutch. You burn the clutch doing it that way. Just roll about 5-10 mph and lean forward start grabbing brake and give it more gas. Takes a little getting used to but it works.

Yeah too true - I got Diablo Supercorsa's and the rear will spin for as long as you want if it's wet, but I tried clutching it the next day in the dry, and ****!- it just lifted the front straight off! - even leaning forward
I'll try the brake and gas only...

Re: Getting ur rear loose on rolling burnouts?

I'll give the no clutch method a try next time i go out. A few more general questions. What psi do you guys run? I think higher would be alot easier to break loose and spin but i'm not gonna be changing psi just for burnouts. What rpms are you guys usually at? I was starting at like 7k and letting it go down to between 4-5k. But it seems like its not spinning fast enough cause the bike isn't doin circles that fast, maybe i just need to lean it more. Last, how fast do you go threw tires?! I had almost a new tire the other day and i've only got a little tread left already! I've been makin da rounds around town robbin every 1/2 decent throw away tire from behind the shops i can find.

Re: Getting ur rear loose on rolling burnouts?

You have to unload ther rear suspension.Get going 5 mph and lean foward. tap the front break and you'll fell the *** unspring at the same time release the the clutch and give it more gas the rear tire will start to spin apply alittle more front break and same with the gas works for me
