Deciding between thrust company's 1down 8 up vs. 1down 10up sprocket. Right now I have 1down 3up but I have to hit powerband around 11000rpm for a wheelie (use the clutchin method.) I ride a 04 gsxr600 and my questions are:

1. whats the difference is top speed between those 2 sprockets? I hit the highway every now and then but ride parking lots more.
2. what is the rpm difference when preparing to do a wheelie thru clutching, is the rpm higher/lower?

Not too worried about changing the chain out but would prefer to rock wheelies at lower rpm's.

they will be pretty much the same in top speed and rpms.

 

You sholdn't have to hit the power band to bring that thing up with -1 +3.

 

I'm -2 +5 on a '04 GSXR600 and I clutch 4th on the interstate at about 7K on the tach. I can clutch up 6th if I've got it revved high enough. My bike tops out at around 130-140 now.

 

Im only +7 and I dont have to rev that high.

 

maybe I'm overdoing it :YEAH
