Best Stunt Bike?
I want to get serious and start learning some stunts, I've got a buddy who said he'll teach me as soon as I get a bike, and I was kinda wondering what bike I should get.
There is a catch. I've been riding for a couple years, and I prefer liter bikes, but is a liter bike a good bike to learn stunts on? I know some stunts, nothing but wheelie's and some pretty plain stoppies, and I'd like to get better. I already know I'm going to lay it down a couple times in the learning process and I'm going to go with something used and a little beat on but should I go with a 600 or something bigger?
Thanks for the info.

I'm not too concerned with slow stuff, I'll get my fill of slow stuff on a fiddy. I like stoppies, but I'm all about highway wheelie's, higher-speed stuff like that.
As for a 900RR, I've heard that the '95 and older models (with the 889cc engine) have a oiling problem, is there anything I can do to fix that short of an engine swap? (The newer bikes are a bit more $ than I want to spend for my first stunter)
As for the 750, what years would you recommend? When did they start the SRAD? I'd like to go with something a little older because I'll probably dump it and they're cheaper.

It seems that's what a lot of people suggest, but I've seen quite a few stunters on gixxers (750's and 1000's).
Please give us (or me) a few more details on why you suggest the RR...
Thanks,

I personally like stunting a 600. Everyone runs with RR's and larger bikes, it just isn't my style. As I always say, GET WHAT YOU LIKE!!! Hell, these guys are stunting 50's and dirt bikes. If a RR works for you man, go for it! If I had to choose another bike other than a 600, I would run a ZX9R. Thats just me though.....

I'm thinking Gixxer, too...but Honda has some good financing going on right now if you wanted to get something new to scratch up.
www.madmanbiker.com has some trash to rebuild...just make sure the front wheel is on tight before you speed test it.

I never got a difinitive answer on this one:
When did Suzuki start the srad? I know the bikes with the SRAD stickers are relatively new, but the srad itself has been around for a few years, srad is just a fancy name they gave their Ram Air system right? I think they've had ram air since 96, does anybody know for sure?

Here is the link to the SRAD on ebaby.
I'd take it...
Also, I think the SRAD started in '96. Here's a link to a media release on the SRAD or just read the quote from it below that:
http://www.segalmedia.com.au/clients....asp?idno=1342
"By 1996 the GSX-R750 used a then-new twin-spar aluminium frame design to significantly reduce its size and weight, down to an impressive 179kg. Also the first to use the Suzuki Ram Air Direct (SRAD) induction system, the 1996 GSX-R750 also combined aerodynamic bodywork and distinctive rounded solo seat cowl to make it a performer on and off the track"
