180 stoppies

ok i can roll stopies a good ways and steer the pretty good as well. but i cant seem to get a 180. How the heck do you do it. Do you just steer to one direction until the bike gets sideways then it whips itself around. i dunno. For those who can do it. hook me up with some advice.
Thanks :YEAH

Re: 180 stoppies

i do like 90 degree turns all the time, on accident though, something is wrong with my forks or my body positioning but the *** always goes to the left...just lean into it and push out some on the bar that your turning into (i.e. if you are doing a 180 left lean left and push your wheel right)

I don't think that physics would allow you to make 360. Till 180 you have the momentum force that pushes you, but it cannot push in the direction opposite of the direction that the bike is rolling to. Maybe I'm wrong

Re: 180 stoppies

I think 360 is possible. It needs totally different technic thou. In normal 180 tail is sorta thrown over the balance and it's impossible to keep it turning much over 180.

But if you get the endo real high(BP) and low speed, then steer to the right and tail starts to fall to the left, then steer to the turn(left) while keeping the tail inside the turn the whole way. If it goes over the balance you get 180. You need to keep it balanced and turn must be wider(bigger circle).

I think it's possible, If it's possible to turn the bike on two wheels and on the rear wheel and do circle, then it must be possible to do it on the front. But you have to be totally at BP to do it.

I think it's only matter of time, year or two ,that someone does it.

just my 2cents. this is not the absolut truth, just my opion. It's going to be hardest trick ever.

JakeT.

Re: 180 stoppies

180 stoppies are something you just feel for. Some people learn them in an hour, while others (like me) it takes forever. I totalled out one bike learning them, and worked on them for about 8 months before I finally got them.

My breaking point was in Lakeland with Patrick Stephens, after practicing and taking advice I can finally do them consitently. It took someone telling me every thing I was doing wrong and months of practice. It's not something that you can write down.

PS Nobody laugh at me, because this was the one trick that killed me, lol.

Re: 180 stoppies

i have gotten a 360 endo 2 twice. i am almost consitant. i miss by a quatar of a turn everytime.

when you come in for a 180 . the most important thing is, you have to be high enough. the higher you are the better it turns.

then you twist the bike under you . that means push down on the left handle bar and pull up on the right one.

then just ride the bike all the way around. dont fight it.

never never never change your mind in the middle. all ways comitt. you will highside and give yourselfe the hucklebuck and the reach around.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
