Powers 12 bar for 636?

I just picked up my 1st true stunt bike (silver 2003 636) last night. Ive decided to go with the Powers bike workz cage because I like their design the best. Its their 12 bar that Im not too sure I like, It looks good but it doesnt look too strong.

Does anyone here use their 12 bar? Any opinions? should I get a Powers cage and a different 12 bar? And are the long aluminum sliders for the cage worth the extra money?

Thanx

Thanks any pics of their bar on your bike with a tail? Ive seen your bike in Frigid Hotness but it didnt have the tail, and their website kinda sux.

Also do you have any sugestions for gearing for someone just starting out with the slow stuff? What gearing are you running?

Hey man email me for pictures Home2Perez@aol.com I had a custom bar and went to a POWERS and I love it! leaves you plenty of room to 12 the bike with your foot in the bar and its not too short to learn on unlike some bars that go back past 12 oClock. I am stunting a 03 636 street fighter :YEAH

Re: Powers 12 bar for 636?

i got -1+8 and then +22...the hot setup seems to be plus 16 in the rear.

no i dont have any pics with my bar on along with plastic....but i will tell u that the mounting points for the FI scrape bar are shaped the same as the subframe-where it tapers in...perfect fit, took about 15 minutes to drill and mount it...cutting the plastics is a necessity for any bar and is always a pain in the rear end.

it is 12 oclock, not before or after...like i said, IMO i dont think any bar can compare to the Fi bar...

call tim up at freestyle, tell him i sent you and he will answer all your questions...

Go Powers man-I got their bar on my 929-scraped over 2 dozen times--sometimes a bit hard and its held up great--here's a vid of me 12'n it on the bar then kinda getting twisted:

Like I said--No problems with the bar--I'd buy another one from Powers if I had to--

Oh yea--I'm +13 rear :YEAH :YEAH

Yo Johnny, Some local guys are making cages and bars now. Price is the same as the US guys, but in Canadian dollars. You also save on shipping and duty. The product they are making is a mix between powers and Racing905, and looks really good. If you were at the bike show, the guys at the Il-Advized booth had them on their gixxers.

Gimme a call if u want the hook-up.

Re: Powers 12 bar for 636?

rock the matching cage and 12 bar man they look so sick especially together :YEAH the 12 bar does look thin, but that's not a bad thing,it just means yuo don't need extra steel to weigh you down. it's even featured on a 636 or 600rr in the website so you can view it the way it would be on your bike. it is sick looking with that thin sleek tail. go poweres- you won't regret it it's steel babe! :YEAH
