well i have my own welder(s), milling machine and chop saw and since i dont wanan wait for teh FI competition series bars to come out imma make my own, put my equipment to use heheh

imma use 2" wide all round and have it 1/4" thick and mayeb 1/2" at the scrape area


im gonna use plywood or a 2x4 to simulate the ground. bolt it on, lift the bike with a friend to make sure it parks right and thats it. i figured ill make mount spots as deep towards teh front as i can and distribute as much and evenly as possible. my tail is cut , the seat sticks out more than does the plastic so cutting the tail isnt a concern. this is for a 954. im just shouting out all my ideas as kinda a checklist and to see if i forgot anything or you guys can give me some more tips. imam take pics and make a thread about it cause my fab skillz be on point

i dunno about the bar..but i made my own cage with my welder just make sure your welds are strong,hit it with a sledge hammer and if it holds ur good to go.

 

Let the air out of your tire before you set the angle

 

buddy of mine made his own, and that thing was unreasonably long, 'cause he didn't let the air out. after another hour or 2 cuttin' it down and weldin' it back, it worked fine.

 

i started it today, its coming out SO SO SO SO nice, looks almost liek a FI bar. i will post pics and a write up on my website

ill take pics tomorrow, my tail is fully cut, and teh bar sticks only 3" MAX past teh tip of the seat. gonna finish it tomorrow, sand it and paint it and voila!
