I hope your not talking about the new PILOT POWER tires b/c they are the ****. They warm fast grip all over and dont wear as quick as my 208's did.

Re: best stoppie tires?

I don't know about buying a casket because of dunlops, I mean I've never had problems with the 207's or 208's, other than sliding on cold tires. That only get's the adrenaline pumping, but everyone has his/her preferences. I guess you gotta have something to blame it on.... Dunlop cut slick medium compound is my favorite, works even in some wet conditions........Just my opinion.........Late......Free C.

Re: best stoppie tires?

Pirrelli Super Corsa or Metzler Rennsport (same mfg) race tires.
Front, Blue (supersoft) or Green (soft).

Stickiest front tire you will ever use, and heat up faster than any other tire. Michilin Pilot races are OK when warm, but don't stick for **** and are unpredictable til then. Pirelli/Metz race heat up instantly and are the most predictable tire available.

Front take-off should run ya about $25-40.

Pilot Sports, cheap and sticky. BTW drop your psi about five lbs, should help get rid of the slidin prob.

I dont remember saying that. Especially not for front tires. I ONLY rock Pilot Sports on the front. And I usually buy new rears as well

Re: best stoppie tires?

I've always ran 208's without any problems - but sounds like everyone is all about the Michelin

Re: best stoppie tires?

ive only ever tried 207s, pilot sports, or macadam 100
my maccadam wore really crappy adn always wanted to tank slap
the 207 always slid a bit on high speed stoppies
i love my pilot sport never slips unless they are really cold, and ive never had it tank slap on me and its worn out past the wear bars now, so michelin in my ppics for endo tires
