Whats the strongest steering damper?
Anyone have any word on what the strongest damper is for a good price? Ive had the gpr and it leaks, dont like the mounting of the scotts, ohlins costs too much. Is there like a specific damper made for stunting?
Re: Whats the strongest steering damper?
GPR is either makin or they have already a stunt style steering damper.......I've had a Scotts on mine all summer, wrecked quite a few times (stuntin) and it's all good.....
Re: Whats the strongest steering damper?
I'm getting a Scotts for my street bike, nothing for my f2. I've been up to 110 with my f2 with blown fork seals and no headshake yet. I always land wheelies smooth and I'm never going over 40. I do however need one bad for my 954 and I've only heard good things about Scotts stabilizers.
Re: Whats the strongest steering damper?
GPR's stunt set up for sure...
I've had the ohlin's and scott's.
1. Scotts always has a small amount of play when the bars are staright. GPR has eliminated that.
2. GPR with 1-8 settings, fully rotates infinately. menaing you can go from 1 (little resistance) to 8 (fully on) and one more click right over to 1 again. Scotts you had to crank it a few times to go from fully on all the way down to off.
3. GPR's #8 setting is beautiful, it's the tightest you'll EVER find any stabilizer, and has zero play in the middle.
4. It's got new beefed up parts to make it stiffer and reduce snapping of internals. I just sent my bike tumbling last week, landed upside down on the GPR and just scratched it, the crash snapped a clip on too, and the GPR is still holding up with no leaks.
Hope that helps some...
